Overview
When decay or minor damage is caught early, a filling can repair the tooth with minimal intervention. Tooth-coloured composite fillings are bonded to the tooth and shaded to blend in.
Treating cavities early helps avoid pain and more extensive treatment such as root canals or crowns later.
This may be recommended when
- A cavity is found at a check-up
- Food catches in a tooth
- A small chip or worn edge
- Replacing an old or failing filling
